Volunteerism and Service-Learning
Raising Up Servant Leaders
Service is an integral part of Â鶹´«Ã½'s identity. Throughout their time at Â鶹´«Ã½, students have the opportunity to participate in numerous service projects, both locally and out-of-state. Students may find themselves building housing with Habitat for Humanity, raising funds for charitable causes, or traveling to rural or urban areas on service-learning trips.
In recent years, Â鶹´«Ã½ has:
- Provided an estimated 29,500 hours of service
- Raised more than $32,000 for charitable causes
- Collected more than 2,500 pounds of food for a local food pantry
- Worked with some 90 non-profits, schools, and social service organizations each year
Above all, engaged students grow as active, informed citizens of their communities and of the world.
